The view across Florence was so beautiful I could have sat there for hours. Villa Morghen made me feel at home, with friendly staff and a room that was clean and comfortable. The homemade apple cake was a highlight, honestly the best I’ve ever had. I also got a lovely surprise seeing wild pigs nearby, which made the countryside feel even more special. It was a peaceful, authentic Tuscan break, and I’d happily recommend Villa Morghen.

We were there for a school trip for more than a week last July 2023, and I enjoyed every minute. It works really well for big groups. If you’re after an authentic Italian experience, this is a great place to stay.

The fairytale look of Villa Morghen, the roomy spaces, and the views gave it a romantic, peaceful feel. The employees were kind and attentive, and for Florence the price was relatively affordable, so the value was a real plus. Breakfast, though, had limited choices. Our room’s decor felt poorly done and incomplete, and the beds were only average for comfort. Even with those downsides, we had a good stay. For the price, it’s a distinctive place to get away from the city bustle. Five stars for our Florence experience, especially for the value.

The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were friendly and did their best to make guests happy. My room was clean, with beds that were big enough, and a lovely landscape view. A couple of things didn’t work so well: there was no air conditioning, the access streets were very narrow, and the shower enclosure was so small I could barely move. My room also went uncleaned for two days. At breakfast, seating is assigned, but there are no signs to explain it. I sat in the wrong chair and was asked to move. Only the staff seemed to know which seats were right.
