Hotel Casa Alpina

We’ve been here for seven days and have been very happy with our stay. The food is very good, and the chef does a great job making tasty meals from simple ingredients. Reception staff are always smiling and helpful, especially Jana, who has been the kindest and most welcoming. The room is great, with a large bathroom, and it’s well equipped for a hotel with so few stars. They clean daily and change the sheets and towels every three days. The staff work hard, and the cleaning team is always busy. The hotel deserves a higher rating. There are deck chairs outside for enjoying the mountain sun, plus a children’s playroom, a church, and a classroom in the basement. Forest trails nearby made for a lovely time, and we’d gladly stay again. The ski slopes are very close, with a bus stop right outside that gets you there in about five minutes. A couple of additions could improve things further: boot warmers in the ski room, and perhaps a sauna in the basement, where there seems to be room for one.

Yan at reception was fantastic, really friendly. We had a great stay with friends and family, and getting to the slopes is easy. The new cable car is very close by.

For a winter break, the location works really well: the first chairlift is only a short walk away. There’s also a gondola being built, which I believe will be running this winter. The hotel has recently been renovated, with roomy bedrooms and bathrooms and large showers. The food is good and there’s a generous buffet. Reception and dining room staff were excellent, friendly, and helpful. I’m rating the rooms three stars because the cleaning company, which I think is external, didn’t clean them properly. The bathroom seemed to be about the only thing cleaned each day, and by day three we had to ask reception to have the floor cleaned.

So close to the ski runs and Folgaria center. Just what I wanted for a family with little kids. Thanks!
