UNAHOTELS Villa dei Platani Foligno

The only real problem for me was the weak Wi-Fi in the room. Otherwise, I’ve stayed here twice on work trips and would happily come back again and again. It’s a charming hotel right in the city center, across from the train station, so getting there is easy. Shops and restaurants are about five minutes away. The staff are friendly from check-in through breakfast. My rooms weren’t among the remodeled ones, but that didn’t spoil the stay. They and the bathrooms were very clean, uncluttered, and practical.

Getting into Foligno’s center on foot is easy, and the hotel is just around the corner from the train station. The staff were fantastic, friendly, and helpful, and the place was very clean. The thermostat kept the room at the temperature I wanted. The two TVs in the bathroom are a nice touch, though a swivel mount would make them better. Wi-Fi was very slow and barely worked in my room. Parking is off-street, but the free spaces are limited and nearby areas are paid. Sky is available in the rooms, though it switches back to Italian whenever you change channels. Breakfast is plentiful, but hot items like bacon or cooked eggs cost extra.

The location was great, and my room was cleaned properly every day. The staff were very polite, welcoming, and helpful. But the carpet was heavily stained, and the hot tub on my balcony was extremely dirty. It was disgusting and really disappointing, and clearly hadn’t been cleaned for a while.

The staff were incredibly kind and sorted out our problems brilliantly. Breakfast was good enough, and our room was nice and clean, though it was on the ground floor, which I’m never keen on. The TV didn’t work properly either, and having to ask reception to switch the air conditioning on or off seems absurd. UNA hotel Villa dei Platani is in a nicely renovated Art Deco villa on a quiet street very close to Foligno’s train station. The city center is about a ten-minute walk away.
