Hotel Rio Claro

Pier, the owner, was very kind and helpful, and we had a great time during our nine days in July. The rooms were clean, and breakfast was excellent, with fresh cakes every day. Miriam, Ornella, Giovanni, and Duilio from Brescia.

Pierluca welcomed us at the last minute without hesitation, and we really appreciated his kindness and professionalism, even though we were there for just one night. Our new room was spacious and spotless, with a lovely bathroom. The next morning, Pierluca served breakfast himself, including delicious homemade desserts, on a nice little terrace where we could chat. Five stars from us. We happened to stay for a week and would've happily stayed another two. The room was impeccable, with four-star service and breakfast. Homemade products, thoughtful details, and such kind service. There's an excellent grocery store just a few meters away, and it's pet friendly.

I spent a peaceful week alone in a spacious single room, with a large bathroom and all the conveniences. Even a power outlet right beside the bed, something not every hotel thinks of. The room and shared areas stayed spotless and smelled lovely, and breakfast lived up to the praise, with a different dessert each day. Pierluca is what makes Rio Claro special. He's attentive and thoughtful without being intrusive, a great person to talk to, and you can tell how much care he puts into the hotel and making guests feel at home. It has a real community feel. The walk to the sea takes about 5-10 minutes, depending on your pace, past canals with boats and ducks. A couple of things to know: the hotel sits at a roundabout overlooking Via Flacca, which you cross to reach the beach, but it's very visible and easy to navigate. The terrace area for the upstairs rooms is shared, so you may spend time alongside your neighbors. I see that as part of the community feel, though some people might not like it. Rio Claro is a place for relaxation and family, and I hope to return soon.
