Hotel La Cascina

We went for lunch as couples with children. The service was very helpful, and the traditional dishes and cuts of meat were really delicious. The wine list was good too, and the chef's recommendations are worth trusting. Highly recommended if you're passing through. We didn't stay in the rooms, so I can't comment on them.

We had Sunday lunch with the family, including excellent tortelli d'erbetta and fabulous beef tongue with salsa verde. Good wine and excellent desserts rounded it off. The staff were very friendly, and the place is surrounded by greenery. Value for money: 9/10.

This is about the restaurant, where we had lunch on Sunday. The generous portions were tasty, the staff very helpful, and service attentive. It's spacious and clean, with plenty of private parking and an outdoor play area for kids. We had a great time, found it excellent value, and would definitely recommend it.

I used La Cascina as a base for the Parma Fair, about 25 minutes away. Paola's hospitality was exceptional, and the peaceful place has beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. My room was clean and pleasant, with a very comfortable bed. Dinner was excellent, though the menu of homemade delicacies made it hard to choose. The torta fritta is a must try, spectacular in taste and in its view! Prices were more than fair. I'd gladly return, even just to visit the many castles nearby. Highly recommended.
