The Lasagnetta and the other dishes we tried were great, and Chef Nicola was so nice. It was freezing outside at -11, but inside was lovely and warm, and the setting was sweet. A great experience for our sudden trip. The owner, a lady, came across a little rude, though I think that may just be her mountain character 😂. Prices were a bit high, but I understand given the timing and the mountain location.

Right at the start of the ski runs, this place feels cozy and relaxing, with typical mountain-style furnishings. I went for dinner and the food was nicely prepared and presented, with wildflower petals as decoration. The staff are kind and the food is good. I also stopped at the bar for hot chocolate, and the cake they served with it was delicious.

The views from K2 always lift my spirits when I make the trip to Fopolo, whether for a day or longer. Maybe it’s the grappa or amaro talking, but I leave happy and full every time. The people are the friendliest I’ve met, and you can taste that warmth in the fantastic Bergamoscan cooking. I dream about their taragna at home, and the Bocconcini di Cervo is incredible. I never pass up a chance to go.
