Case Vacanze Le Buganville

Breakfast was quite meager, and it wasn’t a buffet. Water wasn’t brought out unless we asked, and even getting napkins was an issue. The mosquitoes were stressful enough that we bought coils ourselves. In the room there was no bidet, which is a must for me, and the shower still had a curtain that felt unhygienic. The main problem was the lack of air conditioning: there was only a cheap fan, so the room was uncomfortable. The room description said you had to pay for it, but there was no system for doing that.

The pool area was a lovely part of this quiet, family-run place, with loungers and umbrellas, plus a thermal water tub that we especially enjoyed. Our studio had a kitchenette stocked with what we needed, a large bathroom, and an outdoor area facing the pool. The garden was full of plants and flowers, and very well kept. There’s parking inside for cars and motorbikes. Mr. Gennaro, Maria, and his daughters, especially Ida, were attentive and helpful with whatever guests needed. Highly recommend.

The boat outing with Gennaro was unforgettable, with beautiful swimming, fishing, and plenty of Ischia to take in. When we got back, he grilled fish for dinner, which was superb. The apartment was immaculate inside and out, and the garden was beautifully cared for. There’s a lovely pool that stays open even late at night, and a thermal water hot tub too. We had a fantastic week and the location worked perfectly for us. The hosts were wonderful and happy to answer our questions. Highly recommended!

We had such a good stay, and it’s only five minutes from the port of Forio. The owners picked us up and took us back to the port for a fee, which I’ve never seen offered elsewhere 😂. Mr. Gennaro and his daughter Ida were very polite and kind. We asked for a fan when we arrived and they brought one in five minutes. For the missing mosquito screens, we managed with Autan 😂! Gennaro also runs boat trips, and ours was absolutely worth it: he took us to spots only reachable from the sea, including a cave beneath a rocky inlet and the coral cave. He lent us a cooler so our food and water would stay fresh. At 7:00 they put on Neapolitan music by the pool, which was lovely whether we were having an aperitif there or showering in our room with the music in the background. One small suggestion: a few shelves in the bathroom would help, since we had to leave our beauty case on the nightstand. Also remember hand and dish soap, as there wasn’t any 😅. The pool stays a little warm, and swimming at night before watching the stars from the loungers was wonderful. We’ll definitely return and recommend it to everyone we know! 😘
