The park is clean, attractive, and very well kept. That was enough for me. Unfortunately, it’s full of rules that seem fictitious and that people routinely ignore. In August, some landlords have sublet to what I found to be disgusting characters from the cream of Naples. They took away some of the relaxation and holiday for others who want to treat one another with mutual respect.

There’s no elevator, so getting suitcases up to the second-floor apartments is difficult. The building dates from the 1960s and is quite old, which shows. The pool area is lovely, but in the two weeks I was there I didn’t see any maintenance, and most of the lounge chairs were broken. The residence is a few hundred meters from Chiaia beach, though the route there is all uphill.

A quiet, peaceful spot with plenty of greenery, yet the beach and town center are just a short walk away.
