The outside of the farmhouse is lovely, and I can see it being a relaxing summer spot. Mr. Biagio was kind and helpful, which makes this harder to write, but the place felt unwelcoming in winter. The old door lets in a cold draft, and the windows are practically nonexistent as insulation. A simple seal on the door could help. Gas costs €4 per cubic meter, even though the market price is under €1. At that rate, guests should be able to count on the gas not being wasted, but the drafts make that difficult. Add the radiator cost to the overnight stay, and it doesn’t feel cheap at all. I’d rather pay €10 more per person per night for the comforts a mountain place should offer in winter. The radiator expense just isn’t worth it. It’s a shame, because a few small fixes could make this place worthy of a good review. If no changes are planned, then gas should cost its actual value. It gets wasted, but I shouldn’t have to pay €4 per cubic meter for it, especially with all the talk about energy savings and energy policy. I mean this as constructive criticism, and hope the point comes across.

Mr. Biagio and his wife were so kind and welcoming. My partner and I stayed five nights at this lovely farmhouse in Molise. It’s a real gem for quiet days, beautiful views, and visits to the nearby villages. Highly recommended.

A genuinely lovely spot for anyone wanting nature and quiet, far from the bustle of town. The owner was friendly and ready to help. Downstairs there’s a kitchen and living room; upstairs are two bedrooms and a bathroom. The kitchen has all the appliances. One thing to plan for, the water isn’t drinkable. A small farmhouse, very secluded. Really beautiful.

There’s a barbecue and a huge garden, and the price is very reasonable for a house this size. It’s wonderfully quiet and secluded, with no other houses within a 10-15 minute walk and a magnificent starry sky. The hosts are very friendly, but they don’t speak English, just basic French, so a few things can get misunderstood. One of us thought there wasn’t much to do nearby. There are, though, some villages, lakes, trails, and monuments worth a visit. The area feels a bit like the Creuse region of France, only hillier.
