Grand Hotel Forlì

Dogs are welcome without any hassle, and the extra charge was only €10. The staff were kind and helpful, which made check-in and the stay smooth. I stayed at Grand Hotel Forlì overnight after a concert at the Imola Autodrome, and it worked out really well. Breakfast had a good range of sweet and savory choices. Prices are typical for the area, though they can rise around big events at the Autodrome. I booked through Booking.com and had no trouble paying with an American Express credit card. I'd recommend the hotel, especially if you're going to an event in Imola and want somewhere comfortable nearby.

Carlotta was already helping us before we arrived, sorting out taxis and making sure our room requests were met. Federica was fantastic throughout, always friendly, smiling, and ready to help or give us the information we needed. The pool was clean and well cared for, and there was plenty of parking for anyone arriving by car. The problems outweighed the positives at Grand Hotel. Our room was very dirty, with stained walls and a bathroom that hadn't been properly cleaned or disinfected. It also felt bland and lacking personality, which isn't acceptable for a four-star hotel. Getting there was a major problem too. There are barely any taxis in Forlì, they cost a lot, buses don't go to the hotel, and you can't walk there because there's no road for pedestrians. Breakfast was another awful part of the stay. The woman working the bar seemed annoyed by our presence and unwilling to serve us, with a really rude attitude. The buffet plates were dirty as well, which is completely unacceptable for a four-star place. On top of that, the air conditioning didn't work properly, and the room was unbearably hot during the day. It's a shame the concierge staff did their best to help while the rest of the staff didn't do their jobs properly. I wish I could rate Grand Hotel Forlì higher, but I was very disappointed. It isn't worth the money or its four stars, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The area is charming, with little shopping booths outside that were lovely to stroll around. I have great memories from this hotel and really liked its location. We had breakfast and dinner there, and the food was good. If you stay, choose the main hotel rather than the side building. The side one had a noisy air conditioner, and the shower plumbing needed attention, with a slow-draining tub and weak water pressure at the shower head. I've transferred my photos but can't post them from my iPhone right now.

We had a suite with plenty of space, a large bed, a great mountain view, a jacuzzi, and a rainfall shower. The star lights in the bedroom were a fun extra. The hotel and restaurant are very nice, a little west of Forli, and it was convenient having a good place for dinner right there. Breakfast was excellent, with lots to choose from, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only drawback is getting into Forli: it's a 15-minute taxi ride, walking isn't possible, and public transport takes an hour. That's no issue if you have your own car.
