I booked a double room that morning and made a point of mentioning our small dog. They confirmed it, but when we arrived, the receptionist stopped us at the entrance and challenged us about bringing the dog because the floors were carpeted. We left and booked somewhere else. Allowing pets or not is the hotel's choice, but they should be clearer about it during booking and put a more explicit notice on the website.

The room was clean, but I had a bad stay. The heat pump ran all night without stopping, and it felt like being in the tropics. The mattress was uncomfortable, the pillows were high, and breakfast was poor. Had I known in advance, I wouldn't have stayed there.

The rooms could use some improvement, so I wouldn't give the hotel four stars on that alone. Raul at reception made the stay, though. His simple, very polite manner made the place feel comfortable, and the service was just about perfect. Breakfast was generous.

The promotion wasn't handled well. If you offer 2 for 1, you shouldn't then charge the children for a full kids' menu. They end up paying more than the adults while eating a fraction of the food. I wouldn't recommend it.

Breakfast comes with the price and there's plenty of it, with a good range of choices. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and ready to help. Good value for money. I'd happily recommend it.
