A great spot for anyone taking part in the Bettelmatt Ultra Trail or Bettelmat Sky Race.

We were thinking of staying here next season, but after this experience we'll look elsewhere. Before heading back to the slopes, we ordered four simple sandwiches and waited an hour and 15 minutes. They'd apparently lost the order, and only checked after we asked. There wasn't a sorry, a discount, or even a chance to move up the queue. We ended up at the very bottom of the order list. Keeping our two young children settled for that long was the hardest part. And that was only at the bar.

The rooms have carpet, but they're clean, and the bathroom has been renovated. Breakfast was excellent, the bar was handy, and both the owner and all the staff were friendly. There's reserved parking on site. It's a clean wooden hotel with a character that brings back memories of visiting the valley as a child. A peaceful little dip into our Alps.

The breakfast was excellent and good quality, and although the room wasn't modern, it was spotless. The management could probably use some smart people, though. They hadn't even recorded our reservation.

For 80 euros I got a double room with breakfast. The room was small, but the bathroom was large, and the location was strategic.
