B&B la Feijoia

I read reviews before booking, and one guest’s account of a disastrous stay caught my attention. I want to offer a thought in defense of B&Bs. They’re small businesses, and once a room is booked and paid for, a host may not be able to refund the money if a guest decides on their own to leave early. It can take time to find someone else for the room, which means a loss for the host. I’ve had to leave rooms ahead of schedule for family reasons, but I’ve never argued for a refund, for that reason. Perhaps the lady wouldn’t have had the same disappointment in a 5-star hotel, where an early departure is easier to absorb. So, if she can afford it, I’d suggest she stick to top-tier hotels. Their high prices might spare her what she calls “a package.” I’m a guest who has been happy with the B&Bs I’ve stayed in, especially the ones that suit my budget.
