The staff and service were excellent, and the hotel had all the amenities I could want.

The spa was clean and relaxing, with a good range of baths, and the suite made for a great stay for my wife and me. We also had an amazing rooftop dinner at the Michelin-starred restaurant, with lovely views from the area's highest building. We chose the 12-course tasting menu with wine pairings, and every course was delicious. Lorenzo at the concierge desk was another highlight. He gave us helpful information and arranged our excursions around the area, along with timely transfers. I'd highly recommend this place for a visit to the Tuscany/Lucca area.

We had a lovely stay, and it was great that the hotel welcomed pets. The staff were lovely, the hotel was clean, and the pool area was pleasant. The modern renovation does take away a little of the Italian charm, though. Also, for a 5-star hotel, it would be nice to have a coffee machine in the room.

The only real drawback was a nearby disco playing techno all night, though with the room doors shut it was barely noticeable. Everything else about my stay from 6 September to 9 September 2018 was wonderful, and I’ll definitely return. The property was beautiful and incredibly clean. The top-floor bar and lounge are worth visiting for sunset, and the hotel and pool teams gave me the best service I can remember. Lisa, Lorenzo and Ugo looked after every need with genuine care. We booked a private cabana, and Angelo made sure the lunch reservation, which was a wonderful experience, and the cabana and beds were clean and well organized. The rooftop Michelin restaurant deserves its recognition. There are only a few tables, but service never felt rushed, and the chef prepared every dish perfectly. This 5-star boutique hotel felt like 6 stars to me.

The service was absolutely lovely and very helpful, but it wasn't enough to make this worth more than two stars for me. The price felt completely unjustified. Forte dei Marmi is a nice, fancy town, but the hotel was cold, lacked charm, and seemed to be aging badly. Designer lamps and chairs don't fix that. Our mountain view also included the roof of the pool restaurant. The room lighting was impossible to manage, the toilet doors were transparent, and the air conditioning was very loud. We also had to pay for a place on the beach even though it was empty.
