St. Mauritius Hotel

We spent seven nights here and had a very pleasant stay overall. The hotel was clean and well maintained, with comfortable rooms, excellent housekeeping, good parking, and a nice selection at breakfast. There were a few things that could be better. The lunch menu is quite limited, and bicycles cost extra per day, unlike at some other hotels in the area. Given the room rates, I think bike rental could be included. Also, the hot breakfast dishes, including eggs, pancakes, and sausages, were cold every morning.

The atmosphere was lovely and the staff went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay in Forte dei Marmi. The hotel is ideally located and has a fantastic breakfast, a spa, and a pool.

Diana at reception made a real difference during our stay. She sorted out taxis and train tickets, and even arranged breakfast to take with us for an early start. When the internet on the terrace gave me trouble, maintenance came straight away and fixed it. The laundry was just as efficient, with clothes left in the morning coming back clean and pressed that afternoon. We also appreciated the little touches: tea with homemade biscuits, drinks served with capers, nuts, crisps and olives, and free, well-kept bikes because we had paid in advance. Our room was lovely and spotless, with fresh towels every day and bottled water replenished without fail. Breakfast had loads of choice, and as vegetarians we were especially happy with the range and quality. The whole team, from reception to housekeeping, was warm and ready to help from the minute we arrived. Hotel St. Mauritius in Forte dei Marmi was one of the best places we’ve stayed anywhere. We’d happily come back.

We liked the pool area, and the cafe was a great spot for lunch. The hotel is in a good location, with friendly staff and big, modern, updated rooms.
