Hotel la Pietra Restaurant

The pool is nice, and the restaurant's food is amazing. The people there are really sweet and helpful!

The hotel was handy for a one-night stop on the way south, close to the highway, and the pool was pleasant, though oddly tucked behind a hedge. We also ate at Elia, which we really liked. The room itself was fairly spacious, but the shower was moldy, there were stains and dirt in several spots, and most towels were dirty. We ended up sharing the only clean one we could find. The bed was a 3/10, while breakfast was okay, around 6/10. Getting in was confusing because every gate was shut and the doorbell labels had faded beyond reading. We tried bells at random until one opened. The person who met us spoke no English. We had booked a ground-floor room but were taken upstairs to the first floor. The door lock was very difficult to use, and even the owner spent over a minute trying to open it. She left without telling us breakfast hours or checkout details, and locking the door was just as troublesome. It felt like the hotel was a side business alongside Elia.

The food was good, though I would have liked more variety. Room quality was average, and the staff barely spoke any language besides Italian.

The rooms are clean and the hotel is in a good spot, but they’re really small.
