The room was just what we needed for a night near the concert venue. It’s nothing special, but the bed was comfortable, the shower was good, and everything was kept spotless. There’s a bar around the corner where we got a quick, cheap breakfast before heading off. If you’re after a clean place to sleep while travelling, it works well.

One thing to know is that getting around on foot is a no-go because there aren’t sidewalks, and taxis are expensive, so try to rent a car. We had a good stay. The owner was friendly and seemed to care about his customers, and everything was explained in English, which isn’t typical for an Italian place. The room was lovely and clean. Breakfast wasn’t large, but it was delicious, and the area around the place was beautiful.

Avoid this place. The manager held onto our passports for the whole stay, claiming it was the law. We’re EU citizens and were told this was for the legal record, but the manager left the room with our documents and kept them until we returned the keys. I believe that’s against the law, since you have to carry your ID, and it felt like blackmail. Other people had the same thing happen to them. We also heard a disturbing lecture about rules, as though guests were guilty before even entering the room. We arrived polite and behaved nicely, but it made no difference. Three different groups we spoke to described the same experience. The manager was aggressive and stressed, with plenty of passive-aggressive remarks. Although an earlier check-in had been agreed by email, the manager refused before 15:30 and only accepted after a lot of one-sided diplomacy. When we were asked whether we wanted breakfast between 7am and 9am, we politely said 9am because we were there for a wedding. The manager replied, “No. 8:30.” I’ll spare you some other examples, including the visibly stressed lady asking where, when, and what my partner or other guests who skipped breakfast were doing. They’re free to be asleep at 08:35am.

Such a peaceful place, almost like heaven. We had a wonderful meal in the garden, and the clean room, internet access, and quiet surroundings made it a perfect spot to spend the nights. If you visit Venice province, be sure to check this place out.
