Hotel Mondolè

The rooms were good and had TVs, and breakfast offered a decent range. I stayed with a school group. Lunch and dinner were borderline, really not good. Restaurant service was good once you got to know the staff, except for the dining hall manager, who I don't think I saw smile all week. The pool was good, but the jacuzzi was too cold to enjoy.

The mountain views from the front windows were stunning, and the slopes were quite close. During my stay from March 23-30, 2024, at Hotel Mondole', I found the staff familiar with their work, though a language barrier came up often with everyone. We could manage some conversation in English, but only to a limited extent. The rooms were clean and sanitized daily, though basic and only bearable for a few nights. The bathrooms were small, the shower tray barely held water, and the pressure was weak, with the temperature suddenly turning extreme. Drinks at the bar were overpriced. Food was sometimes nice, sometimes not, and the same meals came around often. The food range was limited, not great for picky eaters or really anyone who eats. Promised activities were rescheduled at the last minute, and there was a dirty smell around the stairs, lobby, and general areas. Information about the surrounding area and skiing was also lacking. The hotel was packed with schools and families, with no clear separation between trips and holidays. The pictures flatter it. I felt I'd overpaid, and despite the nice location, I wouldn't recommend or choose Hotel Mondole' again for a ski holiday. I'd rate it 2.5, since the accommodation and food were only just met. A big thank you to everyone at hotel Mondole, especially Irene, who went above and beyond. My daughter recently came back from her first ski trip, and we discovered she'd accidentally left an item behind. Irene and the staff were incredibly helpful and made sure it was returned to us. I can't thank them enough.

I came with my school. The room had a little damage, but it was still quite clean. The ski box could get crowded and felt dangerous to get out of. The food was dreadful, so I'd eat in the village instead. The location is great for reaching the slopes, though. At one point, the front desk wouldn't give me my room key because they thought my friend had already taken it.
