Our kids were happy and ate everything, and the quick service helped. We went on August 15th, when it was quiet and not too crowded. The menu was fixed, the food was homemade and good, and I thought the ingredients were local, especially since you could really taste their flavor. Nothing with big culinary ambitions, just a meal that leaves you satisfied.

We booked two days ahead for the day of the balloon gathering, which was crowded everywhere. They asked us to arrive right at one so we could leave before 3, and agreed on a fixed menu with one antipasto, two first courses, and two second courses. The antipasto was already on the table, but it was pretty sparse. The lasagna took an hour and fifteen minutes and arrived almost cold. About half an hour later came a taste of orecchiette, calling it a dish is a real insult. After more waiting, we got two slices of roast beef about the size and thickness of two slices of Napoli salami, plus a slightly larger piece of grilled pork. The side dish turned up after lunch was over. Dessert was a piece of cheesecake about half a wafer in size. As we were leaving, someone who came out of the kitchen shouted after us, very rudely, “Hey you, have you paid?” Some of the food was good and some wasn’t. I think they’d prepared food for 50 people, then divided it among three times as many, since they’d added an unimaginable number of tables and benches in a rather small space. Honestly, I find that dishonest. AVOID!

I was there for two days and one night, and the whole stay was outrageous. The place was filthy, the rooms very old, and the walls were cracked. There were spiders, insects, and earthworms everywhere. We had no hot water, and the bathroom light barely worked. The staff were rude, and the food was subpar. I’d never go back.

It’s quiet there, though a bit isolated. There was no water, possibly because of a breakdown. I was told one thing and they did another. Make arrangements carefully, since eating there will save you the parking cost.
