We booked on the day and the hosts still made settling in with our baby easy. They provided the nicest baby bed we’ve ever seen in a hotel and gave us useful travel tips. The place is especially handy for visiting cinque terre, with the train station close by and parking available. It has a cosy outdoor bar and a boutique feel, and seems suited to travelers young and old.

A quiet, comfortable place right by the ocean, with the regional train nearby. The rooms are simple but clean, and the staff are friendly. Breakfast is great if it’s included in your rate.

Deiva Marina itself doesn’t offer much, but it’s a good base for Cinque Terre and for driving toward Portofino, Genua and Pisa. The hotel sits nicely between the beach and the train station, both an easy walk away. Most rooms have a sea view, and they’re decorated in Italian style and kept very clean. The women who run the place are caring and friendly. Since dining options in town are limited, the hotel restaurant is handy, with tasty menus at reasonable prices. Probably the best place in Deiva Marina!
