Il Casale del Nonno BedBreakfast

I called a couple of friends to help with my bags after booking a six-month stay over the phone. When I arrived, the lady said she wouldn't give me a room because I had too many bags, even though I told her I'd take just one. I've never before been so scared of being left out in the freezing cold. There were no other B&Bs available, and I felt lost and truly miserable. I wouldn't wish that on anyone! The Carabinieri were on their way, but I eventually gave up. It wasn't worth it, and I would only have lost precious hours.

We booked five nights at this charming B&B, an old farmhouse that's been renovated and lovingly kept up. The pool isn't huge, but it was just right for a well-earned cool-off during our stay. Nadia was always attentive to what guests needed, and breakfast was excellent, both sweet and savory, with delicious local desserts. Thanks for pampering us. See you soon, Nadia, and best wishes to everyone, Vera included.

The property feels like home, and the owner is welcoming and helpful. Every morning she puts together breakfast with fresh, different things. The pool is a relaxing place to unwind, though the loungers are a bit worn. The bathroom being outside the room is a shame, and the doors are hard to lock. If we come back, I'll ask for a room with a bathroom! Definitely recommended.

The room looked out toward the sea on one side and olive groves on the other. In August 2021, my family and I spent a week here, and the place was beautiful and welcoming. They’ve made a lovely green space that feels like a Zen garden, with homemade cakes at breakfast overlooking the pool. Breakfast was incredible, and cleanliness was assured. I’d definitely recommend it, despite two drawbacks: we only learned on arrival that we didn’t have an ensuite bathroom, and the bathroom had a shower curtain that you can’t really see.
