For the price and what life in Frascati is like, Hotel Flora was excellent. The village is a gem once you're away from Rome's buzz. The garden setting is gorgeous, and the service was polite.

Hotel Flora is beautiful, really clean, and in a perfect spot. The service was great, from the excellent people at reception to the very nice and helpful girls in the breakfast room. Frascati is one of the loveliest little towns outside Rome, and you can walk to shops, restaurants, and a beautiful church. The station is just a few minutes from the hotel and has trains to Rome. I recommend Hotel Flora. Grazie ❤️

We booked eight rooms for twelve nights for a fencing camp, but I'd avoid this hotel. It's very old, dated, and poorly maintained, though I might have overlooked that if the service had been better. An old woman with two dogs sat in the lounge day and night. She yelled at the children, and her dogs wandered inside and out, which was a problem for the two people in our group with dog allergies. She wouldn't let us gather in the common lounge even though it was otherwise empty. The children were tired after twelve hours of fencing and wanted to have dinner together there. We cleaned up after ourselves each time. After the first night she tried to kick us out; after the second, we were told to buy something and pay a cleaning fee, which we did. A male front desk worker was kind and said we could use the lounge, but the woman kept giving us trouble every day. The cleaner from South America was very nice. Breakfast was the same every morning: bakery pastries, soggy eggs, cheese, prosciutto, yogurt, and toast.

The location is great, about a five-minute walk to the town centre and station, where you can catch a train to Rome for 2 euros. It's a comfortable, clean traditional Italian hotel with good service and tasteful interiors, including lots of marble. It could use a little updating, but I love the place. It's in the hills outside Rome.
