I’ve been here many times, and it’s an easy recommendation for anyone passing by. The place is cosy, picturesque, and well looked after, with a broad choice of drinks, snacks, and meals. Angela gives you a warm, friendly welcome every time. It’s right in the village center and convenient if you’re traveling along the main valley highway, with parking across the road. It’s usually open from early morning until late evening. Free WiFi is a nice extra, and a rare find in Valle Varaita. Enjoy!

We came across this small café and restaurant on the road back from Chianale, after a beautiful climb to 3000 meters in magnificent Val Varaira. There are just a few parking spaces out front. The hostess was very friendly, and the cappuccino and hot chocolate were delicious. Try the homemade apple cake too.

We had dinner here and spent a really pleasant evening over simple but excellent quality food. The service was courteous, and the price was fair. Seating is limited, though the owners’ kindness made that easier to deal with. Bravo!
