Hotel La Conchiglia

Breakfast was passable, with scrambled eggs for €6 and decent coffee, but the condition of the hotel made a very poor impression. The garden looked as if it hadn't been cared for in five years, the outside of the building brought a post-World War II scene to mind, and the rooms were just as worn, with bathroom mold and a dilapidated terrace. The location has potential, but the place feels neglected and as though its owner and operator have put little into upkeep. I hope they have renovations planned soon. It badly needs a revival, if it isn't already beyond saving. If I were running it, I'd be embarrassed by its state.

The beach is a one-minute walk away, and entrance, beach towels, and sand toys for kids are included. There aren't many guests, and parking is on the premises. Our room faced the sea and had a minibar and a big shower. The staff were kind, smiling, helpful, and, wow, they SPEAK ENGLISH! The price was fair. The facilities themselves aren't really five-star, but I'd still give this hotel five stars. Recommended.

The room was very spacious, which was a real plus, though otherwise just okay and nothing special. Breakfast let the stay down: lots of the dishes were dirty, and I had to dig through the pile to find clean ones. It was disappointing. Fine if a large room is what you're after, but you may want to have breakfast somewhere else.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and breakfast was okay. We had a nice room, a comfortable bed, and a really cool outdoor shower design. The walls are thin, though, and people in the neighboring rooms woke us at 6:00 am.
