The staff were pleasant and helpful, but check-in has to be done at another property 3-4 km away. My room was in a small, comfortable and charming building in the middle of a pretty park, with direct car access, motel-style. The location is convenient for the highway and not too far from the city center. The place itself was beautiful, but the room needed maintenance. Everything, even the windows, is controlled electrically, and many of those controls no longer worked. The heating was stuck at 29 degrees, so the only way to cool the room was to switch it off completely. Even turning the lights on and off was a struggle. It was reasonably clean, though there were a few too many bugs, which is understandable in a park. The sweet breakfast was much better, with a decent choice of pastries and cakes. The savory spread was packaged bread, cooked ham, sliced cheese, and hard-boiled eggs.

This was the message I sent to the property, which essentially denied the evidence in my detailed list: “I stayed in your room 802 last night and wanted to share feedback because the stay fell far short of both the expectations and the price. We were practically unable to sleep. The buttons for the lights and curtains mostly didn’t work, and we couldn’t get the room dark enough. The shower lights wouldn’t turn off, the walk-in closet switched on automatically whenever it detected movement, even from the bed, and light came through both the window above the tub and the curtains. The room also wasn’t properly cleaned in several spots, as the attached photos show: the window above the tub, the shower head, and the soap dish in the bathroom drawer. The armchairs on the terrace should be thrown away. Some items were already broken, including the wastebasket and the bidet towel rack, and need to be fixed or replaced. The large shower head didn’t work, and the wall-mounted one leaked noticeably. The air conditioning was unexplained and not at all intuitive. Instructions for the room would help, and the Wi-Fi password should be written down somewhere. I had to call reception to get it. Breakfast was truly poor, more like what you’d expect from a two-star hotel at most. Everything was pre-packaged and low quality. We arrived at 9:00, and practically nothing was left. Several tables hadn’t been cleared, and ours wasn’t even set. That’s far from the service expected in a suite or at least a high-end room. Finally, I found it really inconvenient to check in at another hotel. For the price of the room, this isn’t comparable service. More assistance and check-in on site would be needed. The restaurant took over an hour to serve us, and when the meat arrived, it smelled unpleasant and was inedible. The chef prepares what they give her. The restaurant lady was extremely rude and surly, raising her voice when we asked about obvious things they had forgotten to bring. The manager, in contrast, was nice and patient. The check-in process was confusing and poorly managed. They send you to check in two kilometers from where you’re meant to stay, and even when the manager comes to help, it’s still unclear how the room works. That’s a waste of time when you’re just passing through and want to rest after a hard day. The photos had given me a different impression, and the place was in shocking condition. I wouldn’t return for any reason, and I think they need to check the quality of the products. A night for €160 in a horrible room, plus a separate dinner of extremely poor quality, felt like a waste of money. I feel scammed.
