We loved our stay and would happily come back. Giuseppe was a friendly, helpful host, and the care taken with the details really stood out. The room was spacious and spotless, breakfast had loads of choice and was beautifully laid out, and the surroundings were stunning. It’s well placed for a lovely beach, with Etna, Gole dell’Alcantara, Giardini Naxos, and Taormina all a short drive away. It felt like paradise.

Breakfast was a real highlight, with something sweet and savory, plenty of local organic food, changing cheeses and cold cuts, hot dishes, fresh juices and lemonades, and homemade jams made from fruit grown in the garden. The hosts were warm and always glad to offer advice or recommendations. We’ll remember this as our favorite part of the holiday. The garden was more beautiful than any city or paid park we saw in Sicily, and Mount Etna was right there in the view. The air felt perfect and the place was magical. Our spacious room had a huge Etna-facing balcony, effective air conditioning, and a super comfortable bed. Even with the hotel’s size, we didn’t hear other guests. It was so peaceful.

We had a ridiculous, deeply unpleasant stay in June 2025, nothing like the wonderful visits other reviewers describe. For a peaceful holiday, I’d suggest looking elsewhere. There was no running water in our private bathroom, so we couldn’t use the toilet in the room. The facility offered no adequate way to meet even basic hygiene needs, with neither the shower nor toilet usable, and offered no compensation. When we reasonably asked for a refund for the night affected by the service failure, the owner refused to return the €70. At checkout, manager Mr. Giuseppe Patanè behaved in a seriously inappropriate, offensive, and threatening way toward us. He was aggressive and intimidating in his tone and threats, threw objects toward us, made gestures that felt like a clear physical affront, slammed his fists on the reception desk and payment POS, and intimidated us to leave immediately, among other things. The owner may respond to this review by borrowing the name of a country he assumes a guest comes from, apparently to insult and discriminate, and to excuse his unprofessional handling of a service problem and customer complaint. He may never have had the privilege of visiting that country. My country, or anywhere else on earth, would welcome him, his family, staff, and colleagues. We could show them what service means and how to behave when accommodation a guest has paid for has no running water. It was a ridiculous joke. My legal team is involved.

The hotel sits among lush citrus groves, with beautiful views of Mount Etna. I loved the spacious, clean rooms, the homemade breakfast, and the staff’s warm hospitality. It’s a peaceful spot close to Taormina and the beaches, with an eco-friendly approach and authentic Sicilian food. A really relaxing, memorable getaway.
