The food was fabulous, which mattered since there aren't really other places to eat nearby without transport. They also have great resources for anything you want to do. I stayed at La Locanda for four nights in late May, and Luigi was incredibly kind: when my trains were delayed and cancelled during the rail worker strike, he offered to stay up late so I could check in. As a young woman travelling solo, I felt safe and welcome thanks to the staff. The views are stunning, though the rooms are built into the cliffside and can mean a long climb up and down stairs. I'm not athletic and had to take a few deep breaths, but managed fine. The large beds are two smaller mattresses pushed together, which seems standard for the region but was new to me. Great shower, but no clothing iron or steamer. 10/10, I'd absolutely come back, and plan to.

Whenever I visit my parents on the Amalfi Coast, we come to La Locanda del Fiordo for lunch. We went on Tuesday and it was perfect again. It feels like coming home each year, and is one of the most authentic local restaurants on the Amalfi Coast. This time we started with alici fritte and sauté di cozze, both fresh and full of flavor. The paccheri alla pescatora were delicious, and we finished with desserts. The pistachio dessert is my favorite, maybe my favorite food ever. Everything tasted incredible and was made with care. The views are breathtaking, and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Luigi, our waiter, was attentive, friendly and genuinely lovely. The owner-chef Luigi is humble, talented and big-hearted, and clearly puts so much love into the food and guests' experience. Great food, amazing service and a view that's hard to beat. Thanks, Luigi and team, for another unforgettable meal!

The food is amazing, and it's easy to get to bus routes and the towns along the coast. Luigi and his staff are outstanding and make you feel like part of the family. This was our second visit, and we'll be back again. If you're after a wonderful stay on the Amalfi Coast, stay here.

The rooms have great views of the Amalfi Coast, though they're generally small, especially the bathrooms. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the overall experience was fantastic. Highly recommended.

There's a great view of the sea and positano from this small hotel on the cliff. Most rooms have a balcony. You can reach the water by going down the stIrs, though the water is deep. Private parking is available for a reasonable price. Food is generally expensive along amalfi coast, but the hotel restaurant is good. I ate dinner there every day during my stay.
