The host was amazing, and the house was beautiful. This may be the best place I've ever visited on vacation.

The location is fantastic, but a few things really take away from the comfort you’d expect at a five-star place. My ratings: price, climate, and parking all get 5; amenities 4; recycling 3, since there are larger bins; access road 1 because it’s steep and very narrow, so only small cars can manage it. No dishwasher, so that gets 1. Barbecue gets 1 too, with so much wood needed to avoid cooking. Vacuum cleaner: 1, though the smooth floor makes one unnecessary. Special thanks to the plumber who came out for the boiler problem, even on Easter Sunday. 👏

Francesca, the owner, is the real force of nature here. She’s a ray of sunshine and can put you in a good mood with a smile. Il Giardino dei Lauri sits on a hill above Serapo, and the view is stunning as soon as you come through the gate. The garden is beautifully kept, the apartments are tastefully furnished, and it’s a wonderfully relaxing place. I’d highly recommend it.
