Our room, 414, had a sea view, and Gaeta’s Street of Independence gave the town some charm in the evening. The hotel itself was okay, but the facilities and surroundings weren’t very appealing, and there wasn’t much to do. The receptionist was a big letdown. We felt like we were bothering him whenever we asked for something, and nobody gave us information about WiFi or breakfast. Avoid the big beach, Sapori. It was packed with 20 000 people, there was no room to lie down outside the private areas, and it was really hard to get around. Head farther north to the smaller, charming beaches. Scessora beach is beautiful.
