The breakfast had a really wide selection, and our room was large, lovely and had a charming balcony. The B&B’s surroundings were a little underwhelming, but fine, with a supermarket very close by.

I found this place during a business trip and was surprised to discover such a relaxing spot in Gaggi, a small town in the province of Messina. The B&B "La Porta Dell' Alcantara" is close to the Alcantara Gorges, Taormina and Etna, making it a lovely place for a quiet break. My room was spacious and modern, with a Jacuzzi and a private sauna. After a busy day of work, having a relaxing bath there felt like a real treat. The whole property is carefully maintained, and the cleanliness was impeccable, from the rooms to the shared spaces. I also liked the well-stocked mini bar, which had a good range of drinks and snacks at fair prices. Breakfast was a nice daily ritual, with fresh, varied food and especially good cakes made by Mrs. Daniela. The staff were always smiling and helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Whether you’re visiting for work, a romantic trip or a family holiday, I found it comfortable and peaceful. I’d definitely return, maybe for a relaxed weekend with my family.

We stayed for two nights and had three breakfasts, all of which we enjoyed. Everything we ate was excellent, and the rooms were spotless, well equipped and comfortable for sleeping. The property is in a very quiet village, with a small park nearby that has swings, slides and a play area where we spent a few hours with the kids. We could reach all the places we wanted to visit without trouble. The staff were kind, friendly and helpful. It was a real pleasure to stay here, and we plan to come back ❤️
