The chairs are set at a slightly odd angle to the tables, which made me smile. Everything else was neat and simple, with tasty, nicely presented dishes and very good house wine. We were three for lunch today, and little Daniele, the owners' charming budding maître d' and son, welcomed and served us. There was a strong frying smell while the veal cutlet was being prepared, though, so I can't give it a perfect score. Still, it's worth trying. Hugs to little Daniele! Massimo from Bologna.

Downstairs there's a huge room, with half set up as a play area for little ones and the other half used for the restaurant and pizzeria, including a wood-fired oven. That makes it a great spot for children's birthday parties. The restaurant upstairs has charming, gentle decor with typical mountain furnishings. Recently bought and partly renovated by a young husband-and-wife couple and their wonderful baby, the hotel, restaurant and pizzeria sits in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines on the border with Modena. The pizza is excellent and easy to digest, and they also offer a tasting menu with fresh Adriatic fish and meat. Everyone on staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are simple and welcoming.

The large platter was a real highlight, and everything we had was delicious, with generous portions of very fresh fish. There were four of us, and the service was impeccable. Extra star for Deborah 💖. We had a really positive experience and will come back. If the noise from the children's area bothers you, there's a separate, really nice room upstairs. 😍

It's only just opened. For now they have pizzas, starters and desserts, though it'll soon become a restaurant too. The pizzas come in traditional, white, special and pala styles, and they're delicious, as are the traditional homemade desserts. There's a bit of a Roman feel to it. The brilliant children's area was especially appreciated, making it a place for families and single diners, young or old.
