B&B Sentiero del Ciolo

The hosts were exceptionally helpful, even quickly sorting things out when we had car trouble. The property is well maintained and immaculately clean, and private parking is available. It’s also conveniently placed for getting to the main towns. Our room was fully equipped and comfortable, with a small fridge stocked with complimentary water, air conditioning, a TV, a hairdryer, plenty of towels, and toiletries at no extra charge. The breakfast was excellent and plentiful: pastries, fresh fruit, toast with different jams, and a full bottle of juice. They also took food intolerances seriously. I’m celiac, and they provided gluten-free bread and biscuits, along with Greek yogurt. I mention that because it isn’t always easy to find elsewhere. Some people call it a basement apartment, but the land slopes because of the town’s topography. In any case, the room has two large windows, the bathroom has a window too, and it’s well ventilated. I highly recommend the place.

The location is great if you like quiet and hiking, with two beautiful walking routes leading to spectacular Cala del Ciolo. The place was very clean and spacious, with the essentials and parking. But the atmosphere felt cold, the kitchen wasn’t well equipped, and the terrace had no furniture, so we couldn’t use it. I don’t know the owner's name, though we met him when we arrived. Recommended!

Right in the heart of Gagliano del capo, with private parking and all services just a short walk away. The natural trail "Sentiero del Collo" is also nearby. The rooms are very carefully maintained, and the property is modern overall. Great value for money, courteous staff, and a generous breakfast. We’ll be back!

The sea is beautifully clear, and the view is breathtaking. The walk along the trail is a real pleasure, winding through rocks and greenery that hide trulli and little caves. Parking is limited and finding a spot isn’t easy, but it’s worth trying. There’s also a much bigger lot on the other side of the trail, without a meter. You can look it up on Map's, since not everyone knows about it and tends to park along the main road instead. At the bottom of the long steps leading to the trail under the bridge, there’s a fantastic little cove where you can dive in or just swim. It’s not somewhere to settle in and sunbathe, though, as people tend to do more daring things there. The route isn’t practical for strollers or wheelchair users, and unfortunately it’s inaccessible for them, so I strongly advise against it. Have a good swim, everyone!
