The room had everything we needed, including a kitchenette and bathroom, and it was cleaned each morning. There was Wi-Fi too. Antonio made breakfast upstairs, with coffee and other items plus a fresh croissant or pasticciotto every morning, both absolutely exceptional. Prices seemed very fair for the summer high season. We needed somewhere at short notice for family arriving after a long drive. We contacted Antonio very early, and he was incredibly kind and arranged an early check-in even though he didn’t have to. The B&B is in Galatone’s Pinnella district, a little way from the town center, in peaceful, beautiful countryside. There are outdoor swings and play equipment, fig trees, and space for pets. Despite the rushed circumstances, we were lucky to find it. If you want a quiet place for a holiday, you’ll find what you need here. Thanks, Antonio, we’ll be back. P.S. Being out in the countryside, away from town, won’t suit everyone, though I loved the stillness and the scents of Salento. It’s great value for money, and Antonio was genuinely helpful and welcoming. The room was simply but nicely furnished, with a comfortable bed, quiet, efficient air conditioning, and a large fridge. There’s a roomy patio with a table and chairs. The bathroom is spacious, with a shower that works well. Breakfast was excellent too.

I’ve really taken to this place and would happily come back. The owner and staff are kind and always ready to help, and the apartment is simple, air-conditioned, and has a veranda where you can relax. There’s a play area for children with swings and other games. Around the property I spotted fruit trees, including figs, pomegranates, walnuts, prickly pears, and olives, along with turtles, hedgehogs, goldfish, cats, and even a toad late at night. At first it seemed isolated and deserted, but it has plenty to offer if you like peace and nature.

With a car, this is a good base for exploring Salento and saving money compared with staying in town or nearer the sea, which is about a 15-minute drive away. It’s especially suited to anyone looking for peace and quiet. The property sits among fruit trees, and the room was spacious, clean, and cool, with fairly new furniture. We enjoyed the patio, with its big table and chairs for eating outside. The kitchen was well equipped, there’s a barbecue spot in the garden, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Great value.
