We had exactly the peaceful, relaxing week we wanted, and Il Melograno made a great base for exploring the beautiful area by car or bike. Carlo even suggested cycle routes each morning and brought us zucchini and lettuce from his garden. Paola, Carlo, and Loretta welcomed us warmly every day and were always ready to help with anything. We stayed in La Limonaia with our 9-month-old daughter. It was nicely decorated and spacious for the three of us, and the kitchen had everything we needed for lunches and dinners. We also used the BBQ once. The gardens were beautiful, and the clean pool area was relaxing and very well maintained. We loved our stay from start to finish and will definitely be back.

Carlos is very friendly and easy to chat with. We spent 10 lovely nights in our self-contained cabin among the fruit trees and enjoyed it immensely. Each day we took a short drive and visited historical sights. We'd recommend a country getaway in Italy at Melorano any time! Kerrie & Mike

There are lots of mosquitoes around, so bear that in mind. The cottages are in a fairly busy area, but plenty of things like ice cream shops, supermarkets, and restaurants are only a few minutes' drive away. We had a really fun holiday at Il Melograno. Paola and her father were amazing hosts, and both the garden and cottages were well maintained. The lovely swimming pool was cleaned every day.

Carlo and Paola are always glad to help, suggest nice places, or book a restaurant. The apartments are beautifully situated, and Pisa, Lucca, and Florence are easy to reach by car. It's a lovely small complex with a wonderful apartment and a fantastic pool that can feel almost private, since often it's just the two of you. The place is very quiet, so it's highly recommended if you're looking for peace and quiet.
