A Casa Di Luca

We stayed for two weeks with our two small children. The location worked well for nearby attractions and points of interest, and the beach was close. Luca was very helpful and quick and easy to reach. There were several problems with the apartment. It’s in a basement, reached by a spiral staircase, and that wasn’t clearly stated. The bedrooms have no windows; only the kitchen and bathroom do, and the bathroom window didn’t seem to shut properly. The en-suite shower couldn’t be used because it flooded the bathroom right away. There wasn’t much furniture, and what was there was old. We found dead cockroaches indoors and on the veranda. People got electric shocks from the stovetop and kitchen light fixture. The entrance also opens onto a busy road with no sidewalks. We were there from July 2nd to 17th, 2022. The photos are accurate, but I can confirm the furniture was old and broken, including drawers and closet doors.

The owner's kindness and helpfulness really topped off our wonderful week here. The house is lovely and has every comfort. It’s a quiet, family-friendly spot, with a market, bakery, pizzerias, and other things close by. The beach is only 150 meters away, with crystal-clear water and a wide stretch of fine sand, both public and private. Highly recommended!

You can walk straight down to the beach from the property at Lido Conchiglie in Gallipoli, so there’s no need to use your own vehicle. The house has everything you need, including air conditioning and a washing machine. Nearby there are markets, greengrocers, tobacconists, restaurants, pizzerias, bars, and a promenade with a playground for children.

This house was suffocating, with just one air conditioner for the whole place. It’s a windowless basement, and although the gentleman rents it to five people, it’s really only suitable for three at most. There was no linen, despite what was indicated. The house was extremely dirty, with black walls, broken beds, and dirty mattresses and pillows. There was no bathroom shower, so we had to use an outdoor shower in a bunker. Its drain was blocked, and the whole terrace flooded every day.
