Lovely.
The little first-floor apartment was spotless and had everything we needed. It's right across from the fine sandy beach in Rivabella di Gallipoli. Gianni, the owner, was courteous and very kind. Highly recommended.
The woman who welcomed us was kind and helpful, and the place itself has real charm. Prices are a little high, though. The rooms were clean and had bathrooms, but both the rooms and bathrooms are quite narrow. Since it's a guesthouse rather than a B&B, there isn't a kitchen area in the rooms. I wouldn't recommend that setup for a couple with a child. The biggest plus is how close the beach is: cross the street and you're there, though traffic gets very busy, especially in August. Just be careful crossing. There's also a ground-floor studio with its own kitchen and bathroom. It's cramped too, but you can sit outside in a corner with armchairs and a garden sofa. B&B Rivabella was a discovery, even if it turned out to be a guesthouse.
Ilenia was so helpful and kind, sharing useful transport details, places to eat, and tips on the most iconic spots around Salento. We really appreciated it. The small sea-facing balcony made breakfast a delight, and the sea-view description is absolutely accurate. Beside the property there's a well-kept beach, and you can get from there to the beautiful Padula Bianca too. Highly recommended! 😉🥰
We spent a week feeling completely relaxed and well looked after. Ilenia, the owner, is wonderful, kind, and always ready to help. Breakfast is served on balconies right by the sea. The rooms were comfortable, and there's a private entrance facing a charming stretch of beach. Highly recommended.
