B&B Costa Azzurra

The place is new and modern, and housekeeping was impeccable every day. Great value for money, with the sea just steps away and the center of Gallipoli only minutes away. A couple of things could have been better. There's no bidet, even though multifunctional toilets with built-in water jets are available. Was there really no way to include one in an otherwise impeccable renovation? Also, the little fridge in the room has no icebox, so you can't freeze ice packs for a cooler to keep food and water cold while you're out. Still, well done, you're doing a great job.

The beach entrance was close by, and we had a lovely two-night stay. Our room was spotless and breakfast was excellent. The welcome was warm too. The internet was the one small letdown, since the connection was weak and came and went. Otherwise, I’d definitely recommend it.

The rooms have been renovated and are clean and modern, and the beach is nearby. But the service felt more like a basic rental apartment than a B&B. Gallipoli has better-located places too: there’s barely a sea view, and the neighborhood wasn’t very appealing. We couldn’t find anyone on site for help, and there was no reception. Management was polite, but poorly organized. At check-in the door was locked, with no staff, contact details, or notice. There was no toilet paper, and breakfast began almost half an hour late while all the guests waited in the hallway for the waitress. The breakfast room is tiny for the number of guests and staff. The food was all sweet, and the croissants were the only fresh, high-quality items. There were no scrambled eggs or other cooked options because the stove is in the same cramped space as the tables. The rooms themselves are nice, but Andrea’s management caused us several hassles. I’d say no to breakfast.

We found the price very reasonable, and the staff were both friendly and professional. The rooms are elegant, clean, roomy, and well equipped. There’s no impressive view or direct sea access, but breakfast is brought to your room with plenty to choose from. A great pick for a quiet week or weekend away.
