The entertainment was the highlight for me, with funny shows that were always entertaining, and the animators were all very nice. The rest of the staff were mean, though. It was a nice stay, but the entertainment was geared toward Italians. The pool required a swimming cap, which I found very annoying, and you had to pay for chairs at both the beach and pool, also annoying. The restaurant was ridiculously expensive, even with the animation stage next to it. The minimarket was small but sufficient, and its prices were very fair.

The entertainment team was absolutely outstanding, and that's what made this a 5/5 for us. We spent 10 days at this calm but exciting camp. It's well organized, the staff are very engaged, the shop is well stocked, and all the facilities work perfectly. The pool is spacious and very clean. Two things could improve: the toilets by the pool and the price of sunbeds.

One of the worst camping experiences we've had in Europe. We respected the rule about not driving our car into the camping area, so we asked if the camp's golf car could help move our big dog cage and the things we'd bought at the supermarket. One of the men working there said they could drive us this time, but couldn't do that every day. Our baby was only 9 month, crying and needing a change after pooping for almost 40 minutes, so we had to get back to our place. We only wanted to drive in, drop our things, take the baby back quickly, and then drive out, not park inside the camping area. The man told me, “not just you have baby , many people bring baby .” He was really rude. Never coming back, and if you haven't booked yet, better not choose this place. They already ruined our holiday.

We loved the sunsets from the beach bar, the sundowner bar as we called it. A father and son run it, and the two gentlemen looked after us so well. The beach is rocky rather than sandy, but there's a lovely pier to swim from. The campsite itself isn't fancy with every extra, but the accommodation was superb, most of the mobiles were brand new, and the pool was beautiful. Its location is fantastic, right beside a water park my kids loved: no queues, €70 for a family of 5, and a voucher on arrival gets you a second day free, unreal value. Gallipoli is a 10-minute trip down the road, and the campsite runs a free bus shuttle in the morning and evening. We'd definitely go back, we loved it.

The pool was a real standout, one of the nicest campsite pools I've been to, and I've lost count of how many I've seen. It's large, smart, and clearly done up recently, with room to splash around and a separate lane pool that actually stays open for lane swimming. The strict Italian rule is that you wear cloth swimming hats in the pool. You can buy them there, or we got a pack of 3 from Amazon beforehand. We booked six nights with Eurocamp at Camping La Masseria in mid July. Phil, our rep, was fantastic, and the caravan was great, well located and cleaned to a very high standard. I'd give Eurocamp five stars without hesitation. The campsite is well situated: the beach is a five minute walk from the caravan, and Gallipoli is a 10 minute drive away. There's also a regular bus to Gallipoli if you don't want to drive. It wasn't too large or crowded, which we liked, though I'm sure it gets busier in August. Some areas, like the children's play area and shop, looked a little tired beside the pool. There are campsite cats and kittens, but they kept their distance. We didn't feed them, and enjoyed watching them play in the evenings. The beach is handy if you like swimming but don't love the heat. It isn't the most child friendly, with quite a lot of rocks, so water shoes came in useful. There's a pier and ladder to get into deeper water without picking your way through the rocky shallows. We were surprised that sunbeds and umbrellas at the pool and beach cost €15 per bed per day. Because we booked through Eurocamp and not directly with the campsite, we had the 'no sunbeds for you' coloured wristbands. There was plenty of soft grass and shade from nearby trees, so it wasn't a major problem, just unexpected. The pool bar staff were pretty rude and unhelpful, refusing to understand us even when we spoke admittedly poor Italian or pointed at menu items. Not enough to ruin the holiday, but it kept the stay from being five stars. The WiFi was very weak, and we couldn't get it inside. You have to pay for more than 10 minutes, but only large packages are offered. I think I chose the 7days for 2 devices option for €29, and ended up using my phone as a hotspot instead. Finally, music from the water park next door was sometimes intrusive, not too loud, but a background thud on most days and some evenings.
