Hotiday Gallipoli Sannicola

Our company picked this Masseria for the last dinner of our Puglia trip, which meant a 45-minute bus ride from our hotel near Lecce’s center, Presidente. We’d had six lunches and seven dinners that week, and unfortunately this was one of the worst. The three courses were a good lasagna, very al dente pasta with a few meatballs, then schnitzel with baked potatoes. The typical cake afterward tasted good, and the wine was okay.

The rooms are fairly simple, but quiet, pleasant, and clean. This is a beautiful, quite large Masseria, with atmospheric old walls and towers and a big pool. The food was excellent, with authentic local dishes, and there were occasional evening programs.

We feel at home here, and the staff make each visit even better by providing everything our group needs. We return every year with a big group for our traditional friends’ reunion. There are lots of rooms, so it’s one of the few places in Salento that can easily host a group this size. It’s a traditional fortified Masseria from 1600, with perfect rooms and very comfortable beds. The food is amazing, and the staff are on another level. It’s close to Gallipoli and many beautiful beaches on the Ionian coast. We’ll keep coming back. Highly recommended.

The relaxing massage at the spa was a highlight. There’s a cozy little bar beside the amazing pool, and the Masseria itself is really beautiful. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, and we had an incredible breakfast in that lovely setting. One of the best places we stayed on our trip around Puglia!
