Residence Ammiraglia Baia Verde

We stayed here with a group of young people a few years ago and had a mostly good time, until checkout. We’d already cleaned and tidied the apartment, and the stairs and terrace weren’t especially dirty, but the host kept insisting that we clean the stairs leading to the apartment. It felt like our age was being used against us. The request came with a rude, superior attitude that a host shouldn’t have. We hadn’t caused any trouble or inconvenience, and I hope guests, including younger ones, are treated with basic kindness and respect. Looking at the other reviews, I see comments about staff being aggressive and rude too. Accusing people of leaving fake reviews or never having stayed there isn’t a good way to respond.

The house in Baia Verde, Gallipoli, was well maintained and stayed cool. We were there in the first half of July and didn’t need the air conditioning. The beach is a five-minute walk away. The issue was the neighbors: they were very young and noisy, and after 4:30 a.m. it was hard to sleep. If that could be sorted out, I’d call this a top property.

The apartments are comfortable and well equipped. It’s a five-minute walk to the sea, and Gallipoli’s center is about a five-minute drive away. You can also get to the club without taking a car. One problem when it rains is that the streets flood because there aren’t any drains.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. We arrived late, and they were rude to us about the delay. There was a fire in front of the residence, and toxic fumes filled the apartments. When we asked for linens, we were told we should have requested them in advance. The manager was rude as well, despite the large amount we’d paid.
