The kitchen was well equipped, and the apartment is close to the sea, so those are my two stars. We’d booked the “superior” apartment back in February, but when we arrived a week ago, the housekeeper and cleaner seemed surprised to see us. The apartment wasn’t ready because the “management” signore Giovanni hadn’t told them we were coming. We had our three-year-old with us and she was sleeping in the car. Then they decided to clean the terrace at 7 am while we were there. It’s a lovely terrace, but nearby construction meant we couldn’t use it anyway. The Wi-Fi never worked, and the manager was never around to speak with. At the end he asked me for 10 euro for extra sheets. Really disappointing. This isn’t a five-star residence, not even close.

My review comes from my son’s trip with three friends, not from my own stay. It was their first time in Salento, and they came back thrilled. They loved the modern, clean place, the professional service, and the round-trip shuttle to Brindisi Airport. Their room was fabulous, with its own terrace and a small pool. Breakfast was excellent, and for a small fee they could have it in the room. Baia Verde worked perfectly for young people. They also found the owner kind, professional, and ready to answer questions. When I asked my son about it, he said, “Dad, it was fantastic. I’ll be back next year, and I’m sure you’ll like it too.” After a few years of taking holidays with him, I’ve never seen him this enthusiastic. Thanks to everyone, and keep up the good work.

The rooms are lovely and the sea is very close, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. We paid €2,600 for five people for the week, yet the room wasn’t cleaned. Soap, toilet paper and even forks were missing, so we had to eat with spoons. The person who greeted us was rude, perhaps because we were 18-year-old girls, and everything came at a cost. At checkout, after we’d paid, he tried to keep our deposit over a little sand and beds that weren’t made. He also made some unpleasant sexist remarks.
