Sea Garden - Gallipoli

Paolo, the manager, was incredibly kind and helped us arrange everything our daughter needed for the night. She was on holiday in Gallipoli, but after a series of events she ended up alone late in the evening with nowhere to stay. We were grateful for all his support.

The place is fairly central, new, and very clean. The pool, breakfast space, and rooms are all lovely, and the rooms have everything you need. The host was thoughtful, kind, and very available. The stay was good, though some things need attention. For four days, room cleaning wasn’t included, only a change of linens on request. Breakfast could work better as a buffet, so guests wouldn’t have to keep asking for things, especially those who don’t want to talk first thing in the morning.

Paolo was attentive to every little detail and so kind and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, served at the table, and there was a pool too. The place itself was beautifully kept and far exceeded what I expected from a B&B. Paolo is also charming and very handsome, which is a nice bonus. I’m sure nobody will say I exaggerated when they see it for themselves. Highly recommended, and I hope to see future guests there. Not From Sardinia, Daniela and Rita.

The rooms were very nice, the garden and pool lovely, and parking was easy. The property could have been so much better if not for the owner. A month before our visit, he had kindly agreed to accommodate three extra guests. At check-in, he showed us around and said we could use the pool whenever we wanted as long as we stayed quiet. We asked about having beers, and he even gave us a bin. The next day he refused us breakfast, though we’d paid in advance, and then refunded us. He said we’d made a mess, although our group of ten, average age 34, had only spent about ten minutes in the garden, taken our rubbish out, and put the chairs back. We accidentally left the door open because it’s faulty and doesn’t shut properly. We apologized and offered to return and close it, though other people were there. He still sent ten messages with camera photos, accused us of leaving it open deliberately, and seemed to look for any reason to argue. My friend was almost in tears after the owner yelled at him. We said we’d leave immediately, but he came to knock on our room anyway and kept berating us in front of other guests, making things up as we were leaving. He repeatedly cited the Booking.com rules, along with rules he’d made up on the spot. There were no signs for the pool or video surveillance area, there were too many cameras, and the property had no clear signage. He seemed mainly worried that the police or financial police might show up over a disturbance.
