Torre Assunta Hotel

We only stayed three nights, but the care we received means we'll definitely come back for longer. The reception team were friendly as soon as we arrived and answered all our questions. Our room was outstanding for comfort and cleanliness, with a large bed and a modern style that made us feel welcome. Restaurant staff were efficient, breakfast had plenty of choice, and I especially liked the fresh prepared fruit. We also ate dinner there twice, and both meals were of a very high standard. Could not fault this Hotel.

The rooms are spacious, new and modern, and the pool is good, though there are very few sunbeds. It's peaceful, just a short drive from the beaches and town center. Parking in Gallipoli at night is almost impossible if you're driving there. We had several little problems during our stay. At 1 p.m., two hours before check-in, we arrived by car and found a large closed gate with no instructions. It took four calls to reception to get someone to answer and give us the code. Better instructions or someone available at the desk would have helped. At midnight, the gate was closed again and the code didn't work, probably because of an electrical issue, and there was no guidance on what to do. The breakfast was very average for a 5-star hotel. Items ran out quickly, so we had to wait for staff to replace them, and the coffee seemed to be made with salty tap water. On the first day, our room wasn't cleaned until 6 p.m., which was inconvenient because we wanted fresh towels after the beach. Shampoo and soap also weren't replenished unless we called reception to ask. They requested full credit card details at check-in, which made me uncomfortable, though cash deposits were accepted as an alternative. I hadn't withdrawn cash, but they didn't insist, which was a relief. I'm rating it 3.5 stars instead of 5. The place is new and has lots of potential, but these small imperfections need attention to make the experience much better.

Lovely hotel staff, As betonf was especially nice. The architecture is beautiful, and our room was gorgeous and super clean. A great place for a romantic stay, with excellent service.

We spent a week at this great new hotel, and it was worth every penny. The reception staff were really amazing. Highly recommended!
