The one good thing was the location, close to the old city. Everything else was a real letdown. Breakfast was poor, and parking was very limited on a crowded street. One morning there was no water at all, with no explanation or communication from reception. We’d booked two days, then got a message on the way saying we’d been upgraded. When we arrived, it felt more like a downgrade: the arrogant, mostly unpolied receptionist tried to put us in another hotel away from the sea and without the sea-view balcony we’d booked and paid for. When we refused, she became even more arrogant and told us to cancel and find somewhere else at 21 hour in the evening. After a long discussion, she finally called the manager, who gave us a room in the hotel that had supposedly been full. I’ve never encountered such an arrogant and unprofessional receptionist.

They treated the broken shower floor as if it were fixed by laying another rug over it, so it wouldn’t feel as broken underfoot. That was their final answer. The floor had already been covered with an old, dirty rug when we got the room. We asked to move, but were told there were no other rooms and we had to stay there, even though we hadn’t paid for that. They wanted us to switch hotels twice in five days, while we were meant to spend two nights in that broken room. Speaking with the manager was awful too. She offered no solution and laughed at the problem as if we were exaggerating. We lost 3 hours of a vacation day just getting our money back and finding somewhere else that same day. They didn’t even try to help or apologize. Awful experience.

The customer service was very good, and I’d come back. We had a good night here, with a clean room and comfortable bed. The sound insulation could be better, but it wasn’t anything terrible, especially for the price.

Really comfortable beds, and the bath had lovely rain showers. The staff were amazing and professional, the breakfast was great, and the location was good.
