The warm new thermal pools were exactly what we needed after a week on bikes. We loved drifting around in them, and our room in the Majestic was roomy, with a bath, balcony, and lots of luggage space. The view was less appealing, facing what seemed to be the old thermal pools. We were on a 7-day cycling trip when we stayed at the Galzignano Majestic Resort. The three-hotel complex looked a bit worn when we arrived, though the Majestic appeared to have been upgraded, so I felt better about our booking. Dinner was the real letdown. The main restaurant was unavailable because of a conference, and the café only had pizza or focaccia. We asked for pasta, tomato sauce for my husband and cacio e pepe for me, but were told there was none. The restaurants at the other hotels were closed too. After a long day riding, we didn't want to go into town, and I still can't understand how a hotel in Italy can have no pasta. It took the shine off a stay that had started so well. Other reviews seem to mention the same dining problem, so it's disappointing that it hasn't been fixed. It seems like a simple change could improve guests' stays a lot.

The hotel was nice, the food was okay, and the price was good. Getting around takes some planning: there's no grocery store nearby, and town is a 20-minute walk. You'll need a car to explore. A taxi to the train station costs 28 euros for a ride that takes about four minutes. From there, Venice is an hour by train, with trains roughly once an hour.

The warm pool, tasty food, and nice staff were the good parts. But if you need to work as well as relax, don't pick this hotel. The Wi-Fi was unstable, and reconnecting took me many tries. Even if you're only here to unwind, a few things were frustrating. There were no pool towels, so I had to bring them from our room. A woman at our reception said we could get them from another hotel's reception, but a man there said we had to bring them from the room. You also have to put the large mattress on the sun lounger yourself. And we had to check out of the other hotel because ours didn't have enough staff.

That rock-hard mattress made it really difficult for me to get a proper night's sleep. Apart from that, the place had a calm, relaxed feel, and the staff were very nice. Breakfast had lots to choose from, with fresh coffee, and the bar was excellent. They also had billiards and card games. The thermal baths and salt sauna were amazing, and the location was beautiful. I'd strongly recommend renting a car to explore the area. It's a good place to spend a few nights, either relaxing in the natural thermal baths or seeing the region.

The Radisson Hotel itself was lovely, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. We had room 605, with a huge balcony and jacuzzi, and I couldn't have asked for a better room. The wider resort is a bit run down, with a kind of faded glory, and it's a bizarre place. One day they'll renovate the whole thing, and it might lose its quirky charm. I loved it here.
