We booked a weekend at Bricco degli Uccellini for February 23-24 on November 9, 2012, three months ahead so there wouldn't be any problems. The reservation was confirmed, but just yesterday the facility contacted us to say they couldn't host us on those dates because of internal problems. We said we'd rather keep the booking, but they told us that wasn't possible. When I asked why they were canceling a confirmed reservation, the reply was, “And you also want to know who I had dinner with last night?” Canceling a confirmed reservation without giving a reason is unprofessional. I spoke with a lawyer, who confirmed that a property can cancel within the limits set by law only if it's uninhabitable. Since you continue to be arrogant and claim you're complying with the law governing your industry, I confirm that we'll take legal action. We'll be in touch. In my view, a facility that treats guests this way deserves to be closed.

The food was delicious, and everyone was so courteous. The forest around this enchanting place makes it feel magical, and you can sense the passion and love that Paolo puts into making it so welcoming. Thanks to all the creatures who live here!

We spent the end of December here for New Year's. The owners were extraordinarily kind, and the place felt magical and enchanting. Breakfast was generous, with delicious fresh homemade products. The December 31 meal was worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Be careful. It was terribly dirty, and the swimming pool couldn't be used. I saw two mice, which was horrible, and there were dogs eating from plates.
