The staff were friendly and helpful, and the house was clean and equipped with all the comforts needed for a pleasant stay. It’s in a small, quiet, isolated village. The swimming pool is included in the price. I’d recommend it in the warmer months, though it’s still very pleasant when it’s colder.
We really enjoyed the quiet setting, and San Gimignano is worth visiting at least twice. Daily shops are 15-20 minutes away, while a treetop adventure park is just six minutes down the road. Our host kept in touch on WhatsApp, checked how we were doing, and shared excursion tips. The four of us found the place clean and thoughtfully furnished, with everything we needed, even power adapters. The pool was a good size and consistently clean, like the rest of the property. The spa and resort have been closed for some time, which was a downside. There’s a large, older white dog keeping watch over the area. He didn’t bother us, and we never heard him bark. We’d be happy to return! 🥰
Bianca, the sheepdog next door, is very sweet and keeps an attentive eye on you while you cook. The apartments can feel quite cool in spring. Also, the restaurant, spa, and hotel have been closed for a while, so the complex now functions more like a pool resort.
It feels like a little neighborhood here, with welcoming, comfortable apartments and a lovely quiet atmosphere. The pool is included, and it’s hard to imagine wanting more. [The pool opens in early May.]
