We spent a week enjoying the countryside, surrounded by olive trees. The property and house were gorgeous, clean, and in a classic Tuscan style. There are plenty of sights nearby, including San Gimignano, Volterra, and Gambassi Terme, while Siena, Florence, and Pisa are about an hour’s drive away. A pilgrims hike starts right in front of the property and can be walked to San Gimignano. Highly recommend it, and we’ll be back.

The owners are so kind, and the place is lovely and well kept. Each room has its own bathroom, so it works best for up to three couples plus kids or babies. You’ll need a car for anything away from the property, since the nearby village is only reachable by the main road. Bring mosquito repellent, too. Villa Ligheia = Villa Meletta

We often come back because the house is clean and everything works as it should. It’s a handy base for seeing the area, though staying in for a lazy day is just as nice, with the garden and your own pool to relax by. The village is a three-minute drive away for fresh rolls and coffee in the morning. There’s also a cooking and seating area in the garden, which makes a lovely spot to unwind.

Set among greenery, this bright villa suits couples and families, and our four-legged friends were welcome and clearly delighted. The pool has all the comforts, while both the garden and the carefully maintained interiors are lovely.
