Hotel Excelsior Le Terrazze

The pool and the space around it were just right, and the hotel itself was clean and lovely. We were lucky to get rooms with a side view of the lake, which was great. The staff were really helpful, too. Bike hire for 5 euros was a nice deal, and riding to Bardolino is a must. There’s afternoon tea at 4 every day, which is a lovely extra. We didn’t want to leave!

Breakfast was really good, and eating it on the terrace was lovely. The pool usually had free loungers thanks to the hotel’s thankfully sensible do not reserve policy. We paid a bit more for a front room, and the view was awesome, with sun loungers on the balcony. The shower was a bit rubbish, which seemed odd for such a good hotel. It’s on the road, but with the balcony doors shut, we couldn’t hear anything. Staff were excellent, helpful and welcoming every time. The location is perfect, close to the ferry port and just a couple of minutes from the promenade. It’s a lovely modern hotel and we’d stay again. Rooms were on the pricey side, though food and drink were priced okay. That’s Lake Garda for you!

Just beyond the Lake Garda waterfront in downtown, the location worked really well. The breakfast each morning was wonderful, with something for everyone. The front desk was very helpful with directions and dinner ideas. We especially liked Caffe Amaro 😋😋.

The afternoon tea they put out at 4pm each day was delicious, and we’d definitely stay here again. We had a lovely time at this hotel in a great spot in garda, with a fine view across the lake. Our upgraded, larger room was lovely and had a partial lakeside view. The staff were friendly and helpful, and nothing felt like too much trouble. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was very good. The pool area was lovely, and while it’s near the road, the noise was minor and fine. It’s just a five-minute walk down to the front, where there are lots of nice restaurants and bars. The hotel serves dinner too, though we didn’t eat there. Other guests said it was very nice. We prefer walking down to the lakeside to eat out.
