Hotel Regina Adelaide

The location was great, but knowing what I know now, I doubt I’d return. The rooms weren’t charming to me, as some other reviews suggest. They felt a bit dated, and we were put in the secondary building while construction was underway. That bothered us less than we expected, but the room had lots of ants. There were ant traps around, so it seemed the hotel knew about the problem. This was our third hotel in Italy, and I was surprised it had four stars rather than three. The staff were helpful, though even basic requests became more complicated than they needed to be. After my husband bought a bottle of wine in town, he asked for an opener. We didn’t know there would be a 10 euro corkage fee. That seemed ridiculous, especially since guests should be able to drink in their rooms without an extra charge, and the fee should have been explained upfront. When I asked for an iron or steamer for my shorts, I was sent to the huge laundry room to use an iron. I’ve never stayed at a hotel where one wasn’t readily available for guests to use in their rooms. We’re in our mid 30s and had no issue with an older crowd, but we were surprised to find we were easily the youngest guests there.

We had such a relaxing 10 day stay. The hotel is lovely, the location is great, and the team made the whole visit peaceful. We enjoyed the pool, the food was excellent, and our room was lovely too. It was a great experience all around. I’d happily recommend it and would love to come back someday. If you’re thinking of staying here, go for it, you won’t regret it.

We spent our honeymoon here and were so glad we chose it. The hotel is small, which made it feel private, unique, and special. The pool was a good size, and although buildings surround it, we didn’t feel overlooked. Our room was pretty, clean, and comfortable, and the food was very nice. The staff were always friendly and helpful, especially at breakfast, where they remembered our usual orders and preferences. The front desk team also answered our questions about the area and gave us great ideas for things to do. The location worked perfectly for us, with a bus or ferry not far away. It has a quiet luxury feel, and we’d absolutely stay again.

The basement spa was the standout, with a new-looking contemporary style and plenty of amenities. The hotel itself has a traditional feel and was comfortable and well maintained. We had a brilliant stay right on the lakefront in Garda. Breakfast was another highlight, probably the best hotel breakfast I’ve had in Italy. There was lots to choose from, including eggs, meat, cheese, fruit, and cake. Everyone on staff was helpful and very attentive. I wish we’d stayed longer.
